Position: Project Environmental Engineer I and II

Salary: Determined commensurate with education and experience

We are seeking motivated individuals who are looking for varied experience in water, wastewater and drainage systems engineering. Entry-level and post entry-level positions leading to promotion and corresponding expanded client duties and professional responsibilities are available. Looking for person to perform engineering duties related to water quality; conduct investigations, inspections, studies and preparation of reports; summarize and analyze water quality monitoring data; review and analyze waste discharge requirements, and review NPDES permits. Work under and with senior supervision and professional staff on projects that will include: wastewater treatment plant strategic planning; water, sewer, and drainage system hydraulic modeling; water reclamation/reuse; NPDES permitting; surface water quality studies; and related civil/environmental engineering projects.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with 0 - 6 yrs experience with emphasis on environmental/water resources engineering.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to work as a team player to successfully complete project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of water quality control principles and physical, biological, and chemical factors relating to control of water pollution.
  • Relevant experience, strong statistical background, CAD skills, GIS mapping, database skills, and a P.E. are desirable.

Position: Project Environmental Scientist I and II
Locations: All

We are seeking motivated individuals who are looking for varied experience in surface and groundwater pollution and protection. Entry level and post entry-level positions are available. Individuals apply scientific methods and principles in the identification, research, and solution of problems in the areas of environmental monitoring, water resources development, point and nonpoint source pollution, wetland restoration, river greenways, riparian habitat, land and water use, agricultural return flows, streambed alterations, and watershed evaluation. Individuals must analyze and evaluate available data on the effects of water pollutants and water use on human health, vegetation, fish, wildlife, water supplies, potential land uses, and other aspects of the environment; and prepare and review environmental impact reports and other documents to determine the effects of proposed activities on environmental health and all areas of the environment. Work under senior supervision and professional staff on projects.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. with a major in a biological, chemical, physical, or environmental science and 0-6 years experience in the water quality field.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to be a team player to successfully complete project deliverables.
  • Basic understanding of the principles of land, water, fish, wildlife, and other natural resources research; principles of ecology; statistical methods; and land-use practices with reference to their general effect on human health, natural resources, and the environment.
